About the Author
Ming Tang is an Assistant Professor at School of Architecture and Interior Design, University of Cincinnati. He is also the founding partner of Tang & Yang Architects, which has won design awards in China, Spain, Mexico, U.K. and United States, including the first prize of d3 Natural System, the first place of Cities with Soul, the first place of IAAC self-sufficient housing contest, and the first place of Chichen Itza lodge museum design.

A Tour de Force in Parametric Modeling in Maya

Amazing integration of parametric design process with the powerful creative facilities in Maya. I had been waiting for a book exactly like this but had not found it since the topic is an amalgam of high-powered concepts for creating unique art and structures. Only someone like the author who evidently has delved deeply into how Maya features enable parametric modeling through automation, animation, simulation and even fabrication could deliver this tour de force that will open up a new universe of creative possibilities beyond typical 3D modeling. I'm already applying these techniques to great effect.

What an incoherent mess

This book is a poorly edited, poorly formatted piece of garbage.
There is so much meaningless post-modern garbage that it's hard to discern what the author is trying to say.
It's clear the author had little actual content to offer and decided to pad the book with endless meaningless sentences that simply don't mean anything.
- Terrible spelling, punctuation, grammar
- Awful low-res screenshots and images
- Confusing flow of ideas
Avoid unless absolutely desperate to do parametric design in Maya the way I was.
